Code of Conduct Policy

 The Wilson Vale code of conduct sets out the principles we work by applies to all staff who work for Wilson Vale. The code sets out guidance for behaviour, decision making and support when making decisions.

Wilson Vale is committed to working with our Clients, Customers and colleagues in a responsible and professional way so that we deliver a shared vision. We are committed to compliance with the legal requirements associated with our day to day operation. All staff will be trained in the relevant policies and procedures that impact on their role.

CONFLICTS OF INTEREST 

​

All staff will avoid situations that conflict with the interests of Wilson Vale. This will include Business partnerships, additional work and Suppliers. If any situation presents a conflict of interest, staff must disclose to a Director before committing to any decisions

​

CODE OF CONDUCT AT SITE 

​

All staff will be required to act and behave in a professional manner. Staff will be reminded in their induction that they are guests on a Clients site and as such have an obligation to behave and act in accordance with that. Clients retain their contractual right to ask for the removal from site of any of Wilson Vale’s staff should this not be the case. 

​

ACCURATE REPORTING 

​

All staff when involved in the reporting of figures must report this accurately. This includes bookwork associated with an account, reports, and expenses. Any breach of this will be dealt with under Wilson Vale’s disciplinary procedure. 

 

EXPENDITURE

​

All staff will not enter into expenditure and contracts without prior approval of a Director. Any conflicts of interests will be taken into account when decisions of this nature are approved. 

 

PROTECTING CLIENTS ASSETS

​

All Staff will take reasonable care to protect Clients property and assets. Where incidents to property or equipment occur, then an investigation will determine if negligent behaviour had contributed to the incident. Any breaches of this will be dealt with under Wilson Vale’s disciplinary policy. 

​

Clients assets will not be used for personal gain. This includes using catering equipment and facilities without prior approval of the Client. 

​

Any fraudulent activity using Clients assets will be reported to the police. 

​

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

​

Wilson Vale staff will respect the intellectual property of all their Clients. Reproduction of logo’s or Brand information will be in line with Site guidelines. Wilson Vales intellectual property includes names and logos, artwork, ‘know how, training material and trade secrets. If any member of staff uses IP without express permission then disciplinary or legal procedures may apply.

CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION 

​

All staff will be compliant with Data Protection legislation. Training will be provided to ensure that all staff are aware of the policies and procedures surrounding this. In addition, all staff will comply with Site guidelines in relation to confidentiality. 

​

  • Information must not be disclosed or discussed without a legitimate business reason. 

  • Information must not be circulated without a legitimate business reason.

​

EXTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS 

​

Only staff who are specifically authorised to speak on Wilson Vale’s behalf as part of their role will be permitted to do so.

This included any external communication including press or TV, Instagram, Facebook or Twitter or other platforms. Any breach or derogatory comments may be investigated in line with Wilson Vale’s disciplinary procedure. Further details can be found in our Social media policy.
