Genetically Modified (GM) Food Policy

Purchasing, preparation and serving of fresh food is a key philosophy of Wilson Vale, we use a minimal amount of frozen and very little, if any convenience food. Our menus are produced weekly and in some cases daily maximising the use of fresh, seasonal produce. Therefore the likelihood of us using genetically modified ingredients is slim, we are fully aware of with what, how and when are food is prepared.

However, some of the dishes prepared by us may contain genetically modified soya and /or maize. Our chef managers are aware off the need to check labelling and to liaise with their supplier for further information and to check at the point of order if they have any concerns or queries.

Our dry goods suppliers are made aware of our views and policies on GM Foods and all of their own brand products are GM free.
